My 2 years at Perceptions have been an incredible journey of growth and connection. I’ve made wonderful friends and had the privilidge of learning from supportive teachers and fun interaction with my Youth Leaders. The food is delicious too! I look forward to spending time at Perceptions.
Maktab has been an enlightening,enriching and a very gratifying experience for Syed Zidane Basir and myself. He was with Maktab from 2020-2024. Maktab played a vital role in guiding and nurturing Syed Zidane Basir. Maktab’s values will always be part of our lives .

Rihla’s experience has been a vast and intellectual journey. I wanted to know what I was reading in Arabic in tafsir. The Qur’an was a great achievement for me, though I still feel I have a long way to go to learn as it was my very first time. It has helped me change the way I deal with people and be disciplined in all I do. The constant reminders from the Qur’an helped me change my perspective about life and people. It is not about how much you absorb mentally, but how much it has settled in your heart. I would highly recommend Huma Appa’s classes to everyone at Al-Ilm Institute for a better understanding towards Islam.

For me the most amazing du’a was Rabbish Rahli Sadri…
I now often say it to myself before expressing an opinion. Before these sessions, I used to think of it as a du’a only for public speakers and teachers.
I have two daughters who went to Maktab for their tajweed and tarbiyah lessons.
My older daughter, Maria Mansoor, graduated from Maktab in 2022. She started her journey in 2019.
Maria had an incredibly fulfilling journey at Maktab. She loved her wonderful teachers, and the lessons she learnt taught her to recite the Quran in a beautiful voice, with very good tajweed. Maria also learnt to be kinder, more respectful, and a better human being.
I couldn’t be more thankful to the teachers and administration at Maktab, who have been like second mothers to my children and have taught them so well and so lovingly.

I completed the 18 month online Fahm Ul Qur’an course followed by the Fahm Ul Qur’an Advance course conducted in affiliation with the Al-Ilm Institute in Karachi, Pakistan. This Quran course was an enlightening and fulfilling journey and I must admit that it has been undoubtedly the most rewarding experience of my life. The knowledge I gained has not only improved my understanding of Islam but also inspired me to live according to its principles with more sincerity and mindfulness.
I would highly recommend this course to anyone looking to strengthen their connection with the Quran, regardless of their prior knowledge or experience.
The atmosphere and vibes here at Quest are non-judgmental, positive, and fresh.
Quest has such an open and welcoming environment where everyone feels accepted no matter where they are on the spiritual scale.
While I found Perceptions classes very informative and interesting, the best part is the class environment. My classmates & I have grown close as we learn more about our religion together. Going to Perceptions has become my favorite part of the week.
