Karachi is among the many cities of the world that have a flourishing informal recycling system. We recycle everything, from vegetable peelings to paper, plastic and glass. Everything but plastic bags! Supported by NGOs – WWF (The World Wide Fund for Nature) Pakistan, URC (Urban Resource Centre) & Shehri (Citizens for a Better Environment), this campaign is encouraging people to reduce their use of plastic bags, to reuse what they have and is actively exploring sustainable recycling options.
