Pre requisites:
Students are required to have
– An internet connection.
– A device to access the classes.
– A separate functional Gmail address.
– A Zoom Account with their own names (names used at the time of registration).
Specially prepared study material is provided in both Urdu and English. Colour coded Paras of the word to word translation of the Qur’an in Urdu and English will be shared as course material.
- Lectures will be in the Urdu Language.
- Easy Open book assignments will be given for each Para.
- Course Charges to be paid on a Bi-monthly basis that is after every 2 months exclusive of vacations.
- Course charges are Rs. 1,500/- per month with Rs. 500/- registration fee payable at the time of admission only
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) about RIHLA Online Programme
Q1. How is this course different from other online courses?
A. This course aims to internalize teachings of the Qur’an in a practical manner.
You will understand how to tackle modern issues in the light of Qur’an and how to deal with those who are associated with you in every walk of life. This course will be interactive via a WhatsApp group and you will get support and help from the Institute to develop a sense of connection with us.
Q2. How will this course be delivered?
A. It will be a combination of online Learning Management System (LMS) and Whatsapp. On LMS, lectures, reading material and other course resources will be shared and will be available throughout the course. Assignments will also be submitted on this system.
You can either access LMS using a phone app or through a browser like Chrome.
Whatsapp will be used to create an interactive support environment and tarbiyyah.
Q3. I don’t know how to use LMS, can I still join the course?
A. Yes, of course. All the registered students will be given tutorials and technical help to make sure they understand the system and learn how to use it.
You can also take help from a family member in case it feels a little complicated in the beginning.
You will be guided on how to solve assignments and post them.
Q4. What do I need to do for this course?
A. First of all, you need to fully focus. All the reading material will be provided to you to download and read anywhere, anytime or print them.
You need a smartphone or a computer and an active internet to access classes. An active gmail account.
We also suggest you to use a pair of earphones/headphone for concentrated listening.
Q5. I live in a different time zone, 9AM is not possible for me. How will it work for me?
A. Our classes will be prerecorded sessions and will be released at around 9AM Pakistan Time on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
You can listen to them anytime throughout the week.
These will remain there till the end of the course. But we will encourage students to complete their classes before the next weekly session to avoid piled-up workload.
Q6. How many assignments will be given? Is everything mandatory?
A. Mandatory assignments will be Tafseer related and short courses on Pillar of Islam to which you will be graded.
These are required to evaluate your understanding. They will be open book and carefully made notes will help you solve this in no time.
The assignment will comprise of Fill in the blanks, True/False and MCQs.
Tafseer Assignment will be given once a para/juz of Qur’an is completed. Practice Grammar worksheets and Translation assignments will be given with answer keys to enhance your vocabulary and understanding of basic Qur’anic Text.
Q7. How long is this course?
A. Since we are offering 2 classes per week, complete course will be of around 2.5 years.
Each year will include Summer and Winter break.
Q8. How long will each lecture be?
A. Each session will be between 2.5-3 hours.
This will include Tafseer, Translation in detail, Grammar lesson and detailed analysis of Masnoon Du’as in the light of Ahadith.
Grammar and Dua sessions will happen once or twice per week or not at all.
Q9. Can I share classes with others?
A. This is an amanah between you and the Institute.
Your family members can listen to these with you but mass sharing with others is not permitted.
Q10. Is there a course fee?
A. There is a small per month utility charge that needs to be paid to stay in the course. You are required to pay on quarterly basis i.e. after every 2 months.
There will be no charges during the annual summer break.
